DPS Extends Holiday Break due to Rising COVID-19 Cases

Students will return January 4th for hybrid instruction.

Kết quả xổ số miền nam thứ haiThe Dayton Board of Education approved a calendar adjustment at Tuesday’s meeting that will extend the holiday break for students due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery County.

Kết quả xổ số miền nam thứ haiThanksgiving Break for students will begin Monday, November 23rd. They will return for hybrid instruction, or virtual learning if they have requested it, on Monday, January 4th. During the extended holiday, virtual instruction will not take place.

This change will allow the district to fight the surge in COVID-19 cases and return strong in January. The school year will be extended to June 29th for students, and February 8th will now be a regular school day.

The start date of the 2021-2022 school year may change. More information will be shared about this as soon as it is available.

During the extended holiday, there will not be athletics. Additional information about meals for students will be finalized and released to families soon.
